>> jesse watters visits perhaps the most libertine unersity in the nation. >> i mean, really good looking. >> caution, you are about to enter the no spin zone. the factor begins right now. ♪ ♪ >> hi, i'm bill o'reilly, thanks for watching us tonight. why the folks are angry about obamacare. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. everywhere i go, and i mean everywhere, people are walking up to me venting about obamacare. and some of these folks are supporters of the president. the consensus is that we have been let down. sold an important piece of legislation in an unfair way. to be fair, because that's what we are here. millions of americans will embrace obamacare but many of those people will be getting their health insurance free of charge or for will he little money. sad to say some measures

don't really care that deceit was used in passing the affordable healthcare law. i shook my head yesterday reading the "new york times" editorializing that president obama misspoke about the new law. misspoke? a dozen times? even last week he continued to misspeak. the media that desperately wants universal healthcare paid for by the healthy and working americans continues to down play the problems it is becoming quite clear that many working americans will pay more, in some cases a lot more for their healthcare insurance because co-pays and deductibles are going up. but that isn't the worst part of the new law. nor is the computer chaos. the truth is that your doctor, the person you trust may not be available to you. writing in the "wall street journal" today, edie littlefield sunday who lives in california and fighting gallbladder cancer says she may not be able see the oncologist who has kept her alive. she writes, quote: what's

happened to the president's promise you can keep your health plan? thanks to the law i have been forced to give up a world class health plan. the exchange would force me to give up a world class physician, unquote. from the sundby obamacare is a matter of life and death. for most of us it's inconvenience that will hurt americans financially. during barack obama's tenure take home pay has gone down. when mr. obama took office in january of 2009. the median household income in america was $55,871. in august, 2013, the last available stat, the median income had fallen to 52,000, $236 a year. that's the true measure of the economy. how much income the folks are making. and as you well know, prices for many things, including gasoline risen. also we're getting hammered by higher taxes on just about everything. yet, incomes are going down.

so that's why people are so angry about obamacare. they can't afford to care pay for more health insurance. they don't have the money. talking points predicts that americans will become even more furious. and even though he says he doesn't know very much controversies this administration. this time, this time barack obama will be held responsible. and that's the memo. now for the top story tonight. reaction. joining us from washington. fox news chief political analyst brit hume. where am i going wrong here, brit. >> i don't think you are going wrong. i think it is worth noting it isn't just people like you and me voicing criticisms of obamacare and reporting on the people who are so far been victims of it. the mainstream media are in full cry about. this if if you-you no doubt have watched some of these recent white house briefings. they have been absolutely brutal in the various evasions and excuses being offered and attempts to blame it all on the insurance companies. they are just not buying it. this is not washing. and, of course, the more the

administration tries to evade and obscure and so on and blame others, the more it feeds the story. this thing has -- this thing is out there. and it is rolling. >> it's rising. now we have v. bernie goldberg analyzing the national media and exactly what you said. do you have the "new york times" and msnbc and they are basically trying, as you said, making excuses. but i think the folks are passed that now. this is a personal thing because it's in your wallet. it's right in your wallet. whatever the media says right wing or left winged me were -- media. didn't feel benghazi, didn't pertain to them. didn't feel the irs going after the tea party unless you were one of the tea party people. but now, everybody is involved with this thing and that's the difference. correct? >> yes, and one more thing, bill, it's magnified by a growing sense in the country that what the "new york times" claimed in this editorial about the

president misspeaking was ridiculous. in fact, the "times" own ombudsman was critical of that editorial and i think that people think that this was outright intentional deception. and that changes the equation in a certain way because the president has been able avoid responsibility for some of these other things that have been happening. >> one more question and then i want to get on to the virginia race which will be reflecting whether the country and particularly people of virginia are disenchanted with the democratic party. is there a difference in your opinion covering politics for all these years between deception and a lie? is there a difference? >> no. i think they are basically, essentially the same thing. i mean, the question is whether it's a willful deception. think of all a the times that george w. bush was accused of lying about chemical weapons in iraq. he was saying something that virtually every intelligence service in the world believed to be true, including, of course, our own, that democrat after democrat on capitol hill had asserted to be the case. it turned out to be wrong. that's one thing.

that arguably is not even a deception. that's just an intelligence failure. this is something entirely different, bill. this is a case of something that the administration officials at the highest levels including the president had to know was not true and they kept on saying it anyway. >> all right. now in virginia you have a gubernatorial race tomorrow between a very fervent democrat terry mcauliff, expal -- not expal he is still a pal of bill clinton but very involved in the clinton administration. ken cuccinelli the former attorney general of virginia, a very conservative man. do you think that this race will reflect the obamacare controversy? >> perhaps to some extent. the race has tightened. mcauliff has been -- had a double digit lead in some polls. that has now closed. in some polls dramatically. >> 46, 40. right. >> what you can't tell bill whether that's the natural closing that tends to occur

final days of every major race or whether this is the effect of obamacare leaking into this race. remember that cuccinelli was badly hurt? the closing month of the campaign or more by the government shutdown. remember, that the voting population of virginia is composed heavily of the washington, d.c. suburbs where a huge number of government workers live. they were not happy. >> they lost money. >> and it hurt cuccinelli badly and put him in a hole that it has been very difficult for him to climb out of. not only that the overall demographics of virginia changed purple state purple blue state. tough for him from the get-go. we won't know what the final element of this is until we see. >> exit polling will show it? >> yeah, cuccinelli is not ahead in any poll, so the odds obviously are clearly against him had. the race certainly has tightened. >> brit hume, everybody, next on the rundown, diane diane

brutalizing him emotional that guy can take care of the other guy. what's the inside story. >> bill, just like you just stated that you have got a 300-pound lieman a lot of people think because is he a football player and is he that big is he not a sensitive guy or he may not be offended by certain things. so last week when the story broke, woe all nowlt that jonathan martin was just that someone who was not a tough football player. we are finding out in the last 24 hours when tapes were made available of richie incog any toe bullying him, intimidating him. threatening him even using racial slurs on voice messages to jonathan martin it's a bigger story. so now the miami dolphins have a major problem on their hands and nfl have a a huge problem on their hands. >> i understand mr. martin told the coach philbim last summer that he was being emotionally battered not only by incog any toe but other members of the team

-- unbelievable philbim wouldn't do anything about it then. >> it depends on what he told the coach back then. that took place last spring. that is common knowledge when it comes to the nfl locker room. the rookies usually have to go out and buy lunch or breakfast or dinner or whatever it is. in the last few years it has gotten totally out of control because salaries have increased so the veteran players they get the younger guys together and they go out and they have these extravagant nights where the bill is 30, 40, $50,000. to me, i wouldn't pay that i'm sure the older guys wouldn't play that as well. this is totally out of hand. the money thing i understand. when it comes to personal attacks and threats. that's when we are talking about a serious issue. >> you know, again, there are assistant coaches all over the place. like 20 coaches for each team now. philbim was warned as you say in the spring that this was happening it escalated and didn't stop.

i'm laying it on the head coach's doorstep am i unfair to do that. >> you are right on that. it depends again on what they were told in the spring. >> you investigate, mr. stratford you investigate. if you are told you don't go by somewhat saying. you assign assistant coaches in the nfl to find out what the hell was going on. this was going on for 8, 9, 10 months. it's ridiculous. >> bill, i agree with you, how much was jonathan martin is he feeling that stigma of i'm 300 pounds, i'm this big offensive lineman, football player, am i going it tell everything? maybe he told a little bit. and then. >> again, the investigation should have been launched martin walks out on the team it got so bad. you say and i haven't heard the tapes. there is tapes of incognito, i mean the ownership of the miami dolphins should be embarrassed. the team is heading south as you know anyway. >> not yet. but i will tell you this.

media have covered the disastrous rollout. they have covered the cancellation letters that people are getting. but they deserve no credit for finally doing their job. and the reason i say finally, bill, is because i have done some research on this and during the three years leading up to this. very very few news organizations, less than a handful, actually told us what was going to happen. that's their job. what they did when president obama said if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it they simply wrote it down. that's what stenographers do. that's not what journalists do. now we have a situation where the president either had no idea what was in his own signature healthcare plan so making him clueless or he looked the american people in the eye and told us a story that wasn't true.
